No commentary as any American should be sick to their stomachs after the fascist comments by a Demoncratic Representative. Never mind that the fucking border is wide ass open you stupid moron Representative. You will not encroach on anyone's right to free speech you lying POS and that goes for Rep. Lewis too. Lying set of dickheads. Can you hear me now?

Rep. Andre Carson: Tea Party Protesters Are ‘One of the Largest Threats to our Internal Security’
by Larry O'Connor

As our readers have already learned, Rep. Andre Carson gathered Capitol Hill reporters around him and told the tale of racial slurs and menacing crowds on the verge of hurling rocks at the congressmen. Our first few videos showed the congressmen coming out of the Cannon Office Building, walking down the steps and into Independence Avenue from various angles. None of those videos revealed the racial hatred Rep. Carson conveyed to reporters that day and none of the videos showed a mob rushing or in any way impeding the congressmen.

When Rep. Carson gathered reporters around him to spread the myth of racial slurs being hurled “fifteen times” he painted the protesters not just as racists, but as a terrorist threat. We know this, because Kerry Picket of the Washington Times recorded Rep. Carson as he explained it all to eager reporters.

KERRY PICKET (Wash. Times): Do you think the people outside are generally dangerous or no?

REP. CARSON: Oh absolutely. I worked in homeland security. I’m from intelligence, and I’ll tell you, one of the largest threats to our internal security…I mean terrorism has an Islamic face, but it really comes from racial supremacist groups. (inaudible) Its the kind of thing we keep a threat assessment on record [for].

PICKET: From groups like this?

REP. CARSON: Oh absolutely.

And we can now see this two pronged message continuing in the narrative from Democratic politicians and the media: The Tea Party protests are really about white rage and they are sowing the seeds for domestic terrorism. This was the message delivered by Rep. Carson that afternoon and that is the message the media has run with.

Only problem is, we can’t find any proof to back up Rep. Carson’s story. And when challenged, he hides behind the legend and stature of Rep. Lewis. The constant challenge of “Are you calling Rep. John Lewis a liar?” must now be answered with “Are you calling Rep. Andre Carson beyond reproach?”.

Spectre, I am sorry but I deleted your first comment. I found it offense to me and my liberal and progressive readers.

You seem to be getting all worked up over what you are so angry about. I do appreciate that, but you MUST accept the fact that we live in an oligarchy, at this time in history. Obama is continuing the last 30 years of oligarchy rule because the people are basically silent over the wrongdoings in Washington, DC.

By sitting idle, they tell their legislators that what they are doing is just not bad enough.

You and I both know that this is slowly beginning to change. People are getting fed up. The BP corrupt rule in the Gulf of Mexico as they dictate the rules is angering many Americans.

The American people will continue to see the corruption and the further collapse of their standard of living. The momentum will gather up a slow head of steam. Be patient.

The oligarchs in DC are not listening to the voices from both clear-headed and reasonable liberals and conservatives. There is common ground in several areas, such as the rule by the oligarchs and the theft of wealth by the lower 90% to the top 10%.

In addition, they see the Gulf oil disaster as a crime, too.

Both camps do believe in the Constitution, yet they see the corruption on the Supreme Court as an erosion of personal liberty and rule of law.

Please, contain your self when you comment and show respect for the point of view of others.

A person who solely believes that his or her point of view is the one point of view that MUST be accepted does not believe in democracy.

As the Book Of Matthew says, and I will paraphrase, 'the person that sticks a log in the eye of another, must first remove the stick from their own eye.'

Another GS insider for a new posting and what a posting it is. The Supreme Court. How very nice for the elites of this world. Truth is a real bitch Jerry, it and may not fit your current paradigm. While you are diddling with your fellow Demoncrats, the Tea Party gave Senator Bennet(R) a real surprise, as we don't give a rat's ass regarding party affiliation for the thieves of DC. If they voted with and for the elites they are toast in November regardless of what they claim they are. Try some truth, and I bet you will feel better.

Obama’s Supreme Pick Kagan Is A Bankster Operative (GOLDMAN SACHS)
Published on 05-11-2010

By Kurt Nimmo - Prison Planet

Democrats are going gaa-gaa over Obama’s Supreme pick Elena Kagan. “Democrats praised Kagan as ‘razor sharp’ and impeccably qualified for the lifetime appointment on the nine-member bench, but Republicans promised to vigorously vet a ’surprising’ choice, noting she had never been a judge,” reports Agence France-Presse. “I have selected a nominee who I believe embodies… excellence, independence, integrity and passion for the law, and who can ultimately provide that same kind of leadership on the court,” Obama said at the White House.

Is Kagan independent? Hardly. She is a bankster operative.

Kagan sat on a Goldman Sachs advisory council between 2005 and 2008. It was her job to offer “analysis and advice to Goldman Sachs and its clients.”

Obama mouthpiece Robert Gibbs and the Justice Department are now engaged in frenetic damage control over Kagan’s Goldman connection. Kagan’s role working for the “great vampire squid wrapped around the face of humanity” (as Matt Taibbi described Goldman) should not be dismissed lightly. Kagan will obviously serve the interests of the banksters if she makes it to the Supreme Court (adding to the corporatist influence already well entrenched there). Republicans need to hammer Kagan on this during her confirmation hearing. But then Republicans are the right hand on the zombie One Party grocery clerk known as Congress. Difficult questions will not be asked.

But it is not merely Goldman. It’s also Kagan’s connection to Larry Summers, the former Undersecretary for International Affairs in the Clinton administration and chief economist at the notorious loan sharking and poverty creation machine, the World Bank. Summers also worked in 2006-2008 for a derivatives firm, D.E. Shaw and was paid around five million dollars.

It was Summers and his so-conspirator Robert Rubin that facilitated the destruction of the Glass-Steagall Act designed during the last Great Depression to erect a firewall between commercial and investment banking.

Robert Rubin was Treasury Secretary in the Clinton administration, a former co-chairman of the board at Goldman, and a director at Citigroup.
Rubin, Summers, and the Fed mob boss at the time, Alan Greenspan, worked with the globalist IMF in 1998 to micromanage to engineered financial crisis in Russia.

Senate Majority Whip Dick Durbin says Kagan will serve the interests of average Americans, an absurd proclamation at best. In fact, Elena Kagan is a bankster operative and she will serve the interests of Wall Street and Goldman Sachs. She was selected by the global elite specifically for this reason.

Finally, it will be nearly impossible to criticize Obama’s pick because it is rumored she is a lesbian. If you point out her Wall Street connections, you will be called homophobic the same way any criticism of Obama is deemed racist and dismissed as the hateful ravings of white supremacists.

Spectre, let me get this straight----the most conservative Supreme Court judges have granted corporations the same rights as a person when petitioning our representatives, as well as appointing a president because they felt the country would be damaged if they did not appoint GWB.

WOW!! The damage GWB did to the country has been extraordinary and will last for decades to come. Maybe they meant to say that by NOT appointing GWB as president the country would NOT be hurt enough without him as president.

So far I have not heard that Elena Kagan would be as damaging to the country as the most conservative, regressive, and activist decision makers currently sitting on the Supreme Court.

There is a forest in those trees.

Chief Justice Roberts: Kagan Asked Court to 'Embrace Theory of First Amendment That Would Allow Censorship Not Only of Radio and Television Broadcasts, But Pamphlets and Posters'

Monday, May 10, 2010
By Terence P. Jeffrey, Editor-in-Chief

President Barack Obama introduces Solicitor General Elena Kagan as his choice for Supreme Court Justice in the East Room of the White House in Washington, Monday May 10, 2010. (AP Photo/Pablo Martinez Monsivais)(CNSNews.com) - Solicitor General Elena Kagan, nominated Monday to the U.S. Supreme Court by President Barack Obama, told that court in September that Congress could constitutionally prohibit corporations from engaging in political speech such as publishing pamphlets that advocate the election or defeat of a candidate for federal office.

Kagan’s argument that the government could prohibit political speech by corporations was rejected by a 5-4 majority of the Supreme Court in the case of Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission. Justice Anthony Kennedy wrote the majority opinion in that case, and in a scathing concurrence Chief Justice John Roberts took direct aim at Kagan’s argument that the government could ban political pamphlets.

“The Government urges us in this case to uphold a direct prohibition on political speech. It asks us to embrace a theory of the First Amendment that would allow censorship not only of television and radio broadcasts, but of pamphlets, posters, the Internet, and virtually any other medium that corporations and unions might find useful in expressing their views on matters of public concern,” wrote Roberts. “Its theory, if accepted, would empower the Government to prohibit newspapers from running editorials or opinion pieces supporting or opposing candidates for office, so long as the newspapers were owned by corporations—as the major ones are. First Amendment rights could be confined to individuals, subverting the vibrant public discourse that is at the foundation of our democracy.”

Justice Kennedy described the law Kagan had defended as an illegitimate attempt to use “censorship to control thought.”

“When Government seeks to use its full power, including the criminal law, to command where a person may get his or her information or what distrusted source he or she may not hear, it uses censorship to control thought,” Kennedy wrote in the majority opinion. “This is unlawful. The First Amendment confirms the freedom to think for ourselves.”

In March 2009, six months before Kagan told the court that the government could bar corporations from publishing political pamphlets, her deputy solicitor general, Malcolm Stewart, had gone further, telling the court the Constitution authorized Congress to prohibit corporations from publishing full-length books that included passages advocating the election or defeat of a candidate for federal office.

Kagan’s September statement that the government could ban pamphlets was meant to be a retreat from Stewart’s earlier position.

Stewart and Kagan both presented oral arguments to the court in the Citizens United case because the court took the unusual step of ordering the litigants to make their arguments twice. This was because the court decided after the initial round of oral arguments that it wanted to consider broader issues in the case than originally contemplated and perhaps roll back some of the recent precedents it had established on government regulation of political speech.

There you go again, Spectre. You have failed to see the forest through the trees!!!

Your complaint with Kagan is weak. The one piece that you call fascist is her prevention by the rigged corporate capitalistic predators, many of which have engaged in fascist tactics, to be have their speech controlled.

As I recall we had the cigarette companies tell Americans that cigarettes were GOOD for them!! So smoke.

I remember how safe the Pinto and Corvair cars were so drive them.

I recall BP telling us how they are GOOD for the environment. So support them.

These are just a tip of the corporate fascist iceberg.

Unfortunately Spectre, your complaint against Kagan is weak. You will have to dig deeper in order to find stronger reasons to reject this candidate.

I guess you support Roberts' opinion regarding Citizen's United allowing corporations the same rights as a person. I guess you have been drinking the Conservative court's Kool-Aid regarding what is GOOD for you!!

Sorry Spectre, I don't buy your argument on this one!

And who exactly can't see the forest for the trees? King Obama will fix it I'm sure. LOL! I have news for ya "forest for the trees", as the welfare state you desire is imploding, and there's not a damn thing the thugs of the District of Corruption can do about it. Universal healthcare? ROFLMAO! Not gonna happen. We are insolvent, and this will be made very plain shortly. One or two more margin calls from the elite bankers to their conspirators in DC should do it. BOOM!!

FDIC backing 8,000 banks with $13 trillion in assets and a negative deposit insurance fund. FDIC survey finds millions of U.S. households are underbanked. Too big to fail banks add branches and grow even bigger.

I think I see the forest rather well while all you chase/see are Bush Babies in said forest. LOL! Party Hack comes to mind, as you always come back to the Republicans while ultimately forgetting about the evil DEMONCRATS. I guess when you have sucked from the teet long enough all is forgiven in the end? A love story? They are both crime syndicates, as I have mentioned many times, but you never seem able to make the final leap to reality. Poor thing.

U.S. posts 19th straight monthly budget deficit
WASHINGTON

Wed May 12, 2010 3:15pm EDTRelated Credit: Reuters/Kevin Lamarque
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The United States posted an $82.69 billion deficit in April, nearly four times the $20.91 billion shortfall registered in April 2009 and the largest on record for that month, the Treasury Department said on Wednesday.

It was more than twice the $40-billion deficit that Wall Street economists surveyed by Reuters had forecast and was striking since April marks the filing deadline for individual income taxes that are the main source of government revenue.

Department officials said that in prior years, there was a surplus during April in 43 out of the past 56 years.

Spectre,

No one writing on this blogspot has EVER called the Democrats saviors. You have been in the heat too long, my friend!!

Yes, we are stuck in a quagmire in Washington. Most of the people are too silent.

We all have enough common ground from TeaPartiers to Progressives to protest the corporate capitalistic corruption and thievery that we have had shoved down our throats over the last couple of years.

If we all came together, on just this one issue, and flocked to DC by the tens of millions we would put a stop to it.
