Romney delivered his “Earth is flat” message in the form of
an acceptance speech to a crowd of shallow, narrow-minded, Kool-Aid drinking
followers.
How nice and fine it was to listen to his “I was just a
normal guy growin’ up” introduction. And, how he worked hard at shuttering
United States companies in order for his investors to make billions of dollars
on deductible interest off the debt created, which allowed these moneylenders
to take it all to tax haven locations, instead of keeping it in the United
States building America. No—building America was not their intention; it was
only an afterthought.
If Trickie Mittie was living hundreds of years ago, he would
be proclaiming that the Earth was flat, and not round; nor was it revolving
around the Sun but just the opposite.
We listened to his most important part of the acceptance
speech when he said that his first order was to help families instead of
climate change. Hey Mittens, tell that to farmers who are suffering from
drought conditions. Or, areas around the country where drinking water is
becoming scarcer due to diminishing winter snow melt. Or, the coming grocery
prices heading upwards because of food stock shortages.
What we learned about Mitt Romney is that he is one
dimensional. He is a flat Earther-type alive and well and now heading the GOP.
He just cannot think multi-dimensional. He appears to believe that he cannot do
more than one thing at a time.
He cannot help families while doing something useful to help
curb climate change.
Throughout his speech, and since we have been observing
Mittens, one can agree that he is an angry person. He internalizes his anger,
and tends to say things that he doesn’t agree with. This can be observed when
he stops talking—pauses—then purses his lips together slightly filling the top
lip with air allowing it to protrude a bit more than the lower lip. Such body
language might indicate that he is disagreeing with what he is saying. This
validates his consistent flip-flopping over the years on serious issues.
One can say that he is untrustworthy to tell the American
people exactly his heartfelt beliefs. Here are some notations about this
behavior.
Barely noticeable lip-clenching may signal unvoiced
opposition or disagreement.
Lip-compression is an unconscious sign controlled by the
limbic system acting through emotionally responsive paleocircuits of the facial
nerve (cranial VII). See also Lip-Pout; Lip-Purse.

This from Changingminds.org, “Lips
which are pulled inwards from all directions are an indication of tension and
may indicate frustration or disapproval.
Pursed lips are a classic sign of anger, including when it
is suppressed. It is effectively holding the mouth shut to prevent the person
saying what they feel like saying. This may also be an indication of lying or
withholding the truth as the person stops themselves from telling the truth.”
What was heard from
the GOP presidential nominee was his anger over the successes of President
Obama, which Romney had to suppress when speaking about him. All Romney could
do was to perpetuate the lies, and distortions regarding the record.
Mittens spoke about
how he would create 12 million new jobs, yet the CBO has already predicted that
this number of new jobs are already on track to come on-line over the next few
years regardless of who becomes president, unless a Romney presidency creates
another new recession. And, that is very likely.
Reducing taxes leads
to reduced spending leads to reduced revenues leads to reduced demand leads to
reduced supply leads to reduced jobs leads to reduced wages. This is the Romney
economic plan.
His idea of
sustainable job growth is increased military spending. What is clear is that
Romney has no economic plan. He is totally clueless. His record has been to
send jobs overseas. Romney has never been a job creator. As governor, his state
ranked near the bottom in job creation, which improved by the time he left to
28th out of 50. He gave his state Romneycare. He increased the
state’s debt by over $2 billion leaving it with a grand total of $18 billion in
debt service. Manufacturing job growth was negative 14% when the national job
growth half as bad. Growth output of goods and services was 9.4% during a time
when the nation’s was 13.1%. Resident employment growth was negative .3% when
the nation’s was positive 5.8% (2003-2007).
Mittens complained how
much better U.S. international relations has been under Obama following the
disastrous presidency of LilboyBush and Condi Rice. He lied about the fact that
Obama has been apologizing around the world. President Obama has done more to
reconcile the mistakes of LilBoyBush than Romney wanted to admit.
Then Trickie Mittie
went on to bring us his new vision of a modern day Cold War by threatening
Vladimir Putin and Russia, and warning Iran that talking no longer works when
it comes to dealing with them. So Mittens, what does work?
He went on to say that
Obama has thrown Israel under the bus when, in fact, he has encouraged Israel
to show restraint when it comes to a potential air strike against Iran’s
nuclear enrichment underground sites. We do not need $10.00 a gallon of gas at
the pump right now, Mr. Nominee.
Mr. One Dimensional
Romney only knows how to talk about small business creators and mega-corporate
job deporters. He went on to speak about the rising costs of fuel, food and
more. This is because wages are not keeping up with inflation, but have
significantly declined since 2000. The GOP resists raising the minimum wage, or
allowing a “public option” health care plan allowing workers to be able to take
their health care with them when they shift jobs. Such an action would likely
raise wages because workers would not have a lag time when their new health
care policy kicked in. Such health care mobility would be good for workers who
want to change jobs, but instead keep workers stuck in lower paying jobs.
It appears that Romney
does not believe that a person can be successful without being a small business
owner, since he never once spoke about successful people who were not the head
of corporations.
We heard more garbage
about how Obama said, “You didn’t build that”, when, in fact, the lip pursing
Romney knows he lies about this slogan over and over again.
Here is the quote
spoken by President Obama:
“There are a lot of wealthy, successful Americans who
agree with me -- because they want to give something back. They know they
didn’t -- look, if you’ve been successful, you didn’t get there on your own.
You didn’t get there on your own.
I’m always struck by people who think, well, it must be because I was just so
smart. There are a lot of smart people out there. It must be because I worked
harder than everybody else. Let me tell you something -- there are a whole
bunch of hardworking people out there. (Applause.)
If you were successful,
somebody along the line gave you some help. There was a great teacher somewhere in your life.
Somebody helped to create this unbelievable American system that we have that
allowed you to thrive. Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If you’ve
got a business -- you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen. The Internet didn’t
get invented on its own. Government research created the Internet so that all
the companies could make money off the Internet.” (knowyourmeme.com)
American business did not
become strong in a vacuum. Government and other enterprises were engaged to
allow for others to follow and become prosperous. But Romney loves to lie and
distort. Just watch his lip-pursing behavior when he speaks of such lies.
Romney wants us to believe that business is created without the help of the U.S.
Patent office, or energy transmission lines, or water filtration plants, or
highways, and rail systems, or lending institutions, or minimum wage laws, or
tax breaks and incentives, or government subsidies to stir business creation.
Hey Mittens, You didn’t build that by yourself!!
Bain Capital would not exist
if it were not for the government and what it has allowed them to do legally.
From the Huffington Post:
"The latest example comes from Rolling Stone, which in its Sept. 13 issue tells how the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. ended up footing a bill of at least $10 million in bailing out Bain & Co., the consulting firm that spawned the private-equity firm Bain Capital. The story is based partly on documents the magazine received under the Freedom of Information Act. It will probably get a lot less attention than Matt Taibbi's cover opus on Romney in the same issue, but is no less interesting.
Bain & Co. got into deep financial trouble in the late 1980s, partly because the founding partners of Bain Capital had stripped it of cash and saddled it with debt. But since the personal reputation of Romney was so tied to the fate of the Bain & Co, he jumped back into the company in 1990, after six years as CEO of Bain Capital.
In that time, he refused to let the company simply slip into bankruptcy,RS claims, reportedly inspiring a frustrated Goldman Sachs banker to tell Romney to "go fuck" himself.
Ultimately, Romney managed to convince Bain's creditors to take a steep discount on Bain debt, using a threat to pay Bain executives big bonuses that would have stripped it of the cash it had left, leaving creditors with next to nothing, according toRolling Stone.
One of those creditors was the FDIC, which had taken over a bank that loaned money to Bain. The FDIC ended up collecting about $14 million of the $30 million Bain owed it, according to the magazine. Taxpayers didn't foot the bill for this, FDIC banks did, but RS points out that those costs were in turn probably absorbed by bank customers in the form of higher fees.
If this reed feels a little too thin to beat Romney very aggressively with, then there areplenty of other examples of companies owned by Bain Capital benefiting from government tax credits and subsidies. Bloomberg news detailed several of these back in June, writing:
The public-private agreements, which began in the first decade of Romney’s tenure as CEO, show that government played a supporting role in establishing Bain as among the nation’s most successful private equity firms and enabling him to accumulate a fortune his campaign says could reach $250 million."
Above written by Mark Gongloff.
Here is more from the liars and Kool-Aid drinkers speaking at the RNC who believed that they built their businesses without the help from anyone else or from government support.
"Steven Cohen, the president of an Ohio construction equipment manufacturer, who spoke at the party's national convention in Tampa on Wednesday, benefited from about $2 million in government contracts. His company, Screen Machine Industries, which provides equipment to the military and other government agencies, also received nearly $220,000 in stimulus contracts, according to a story reported last year by the Associated Press." (Huffington Post, Emily Peck)

The truth remains that Romney
thinks in a single dimension. The world is two dimensional, and tasks must be
done while engaged in performing other ones, as well. Juggling is best done
with more than one ball in hand. Romney has trouble with that.
Overall, his acceptance speech
was flat---Flat Earth-style. He came off as a bully and complainer. His vision
lacked substance.
Now it is time for President
Obama to bring forth his vision so we can all compare which one has “The Beef”.
