Maybe he can execute the American Islamic Cleric that Obama has ordered the execution of. He has experience after all, and everyone and their frigging brother needs a job. Blackwater material my friend, as Obama prepares his hit list. Who in the fuck ever thought that a supposed liberal would be putting out contracts on American Citizens? Liberalism is gone, or at least the liberalism I knew in the 1960s and early 1970s. You are fucking neocons as best as I can figure although you wrap yourselves in a liberal cloak. Just another step to our ongoing move to Banana Republic. By and by, Blackwater has nothing on Obama, and they may even carry out the hit. You really should be so proud Jerry. NOT!!

Just to show you I can give two shits regarding Bush. This is the shit that takes place with creeping totalitarianism.

Police shot unarmed civilians after Katrina, officer testifies

Federal prosecutors have accused New Orleans police of shooting unarmed civilians on the city's Danzinger Bridge days after Hurricane Katrina -- and then trying to cover up the incident. One officer has already entered a guilty plea, and yesterday, he spelled out what he said happened. From the Times-Picayune:
Hunter, 33, said a New Orleans police sergeant fired an assault rifle at wounded civilians at close range after other officers stopped shooting and after it was clear that the police were not taking fire. He also says he saw another officer in a car fire a shotgun at a fleeing man's back, although the man did nothing suggesting he was a threat to police.

That man, the Times-Picayune says, was severely mentally disabled, and he died as a result of the shooting, one of two who were killed. Four others were wounded. The attorneys for the accused police say they didn't do anything wrong and, if anything, feel more confident about their case after this latest development -- though they're not saying why.
Hat Tip: Many thanks, Marvin! (Sorry about the incorrect, earlier HT, Marvin!)

Jerry, you are a fine chap my friend, and I would be proud to buy you a cold one anytime. I'm going to take a break from posting, as I have communicated as best I can what I believe to be happening both in the economy and to our society. I pray that you are right, and that all these people are true sainsts with the best of intentions...although they say the road to Hell is paved with good intentions, but after many many centuries of recorded history, I highly doubt it from everything I have read.

May peace, wealth, health and enlightenment follow you always bud.

I will check in from time to time just to say howdy to a friend.

I agree with you that a President hit on an enemy is a slippery slope, but we all know that our government is no longer a true democracy but an oligarchy ruled by financial mobsters learning their trade from the likes of Tony Soprano.

Call out a hit even upon an American citizen. As we are learning, a hit was called out by elected officials and appointed officials to end JFK's life.

This is a gunslinger nation. So, why shouldn't Obama take on the BushBoy Swagger, too?

Bush and Cheney called out a "hit" upon the Iraqi people. They weren't American citizens, but it was a hit, nevertheless. You say don't need to bring up the past mobsters that called themselves presidents, but the present learns from the past.

Obama has embraced a great many of the negative policies of Lil'BoyBush. My guess is that he is playing politics in order to appease the ChickenHawks on the Right.

Look at Palin, Hannity, and Bachmann wanting the nuclear bravado to be filled with even more Viagra. Obama has toned the nuclear threat, but Palin and Bachmann and Hannity have criticized him for it.

This "terror-threat-revenge" policy is all about the Right.

There maybe a time to talk it over in person, someday. Thanks for the compliments. It is appreciated!

take care, jerry

Jerry, I watched this video, and boy am I glad we have a Democratic President, a Democratic House and a Democratic Senate because we no longer have to worry about enhanced interrogations...ummm...never mind. Change we can believe in, and we don't even have to worry about skinheads when we have a government like ours.

Who says God doesn't have a sense of humour? LOL! Couldn't happen to a nicer bunch of schmucks! Lying fuckers will have the same insurance as everyone else which is as it should have been in the first place. Of course the Obama's made over $5 Million last year, so they can get the best healthcare money can buy, but at least they have a rotten fucking egg all over their slimy lying faces.

Holy mistake! Congress wipes out congressional health care

Legislate in haste, repent at leisure. Looks like Congress is having one of those "Holy S---!" moments; it appears they have royally mucked up their own health insurance - for all 535 members of Congress and untold congressional employees. In a hurry, they forgot to get it right and wrote it all wrong; now it's the law...

Now Congress is in the same boat they built for the rest of America, without a clue what the new health care reform will mean to them. The beauty of their delimma is pure poetic justice to some -they have written law requiring that they move into a system that doesn't yet exist.

How could that be? Simple, a scaled-down provision of Republican Senator Grassley's “Health Reform Accountability Act” - this one requiring all congress members and their employees, with the exception of Senate committee and leadership staffs, to get their health insurance through the same health insurance exchanges where the general public would get theirs was left in the bill, unopposed, and was signed into law by President Obama.

It appears that the poorly written law is so mangled that “It is unclear whether members of Congress and Congressional staff who are currently participating in F.E.H.B.P. may be able to retain this coverage,” the research service said in an 8,100-word memorandum. "

Some are concerned, and rightly so, that as written, the bill can be interpreted to mean that the second the bill went into law - their own insurance that they know and love - was wiped out. It's a long stretch to 2014, when health care exchanges go into effect and the law (as written) voids their insurance without providing a alternative. Whatever are they to do in the meantime?

Of course that was never their intent, their intent may have been to scrap the amendment altogether - or to revisit and firm up exactly how, when, and by whom all of this was to be handled- but, Oops! they forgot. Unfortunately, they were in rush to pass the bill and never looked back.

Now looking forward is full of panic and a scrambling effort to "fix" what may end up being decided in court. The courts are inclined to judge law as it is written, not by what the author intended to write. How do you even explain this to a judge? Dare they try to plead it is unfair to execute a law conceived in haste, poorly composed, legally illiterate, and signed into law - unread? We all know a few states who would like to try precisely that.

What a mess their insurance is in now; and these are the same buffoons who wrote ours - trust us, they said. Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Obama - what a triumph of leadership!

Skinheads have nothing on the leftists who attacked these GOP folks in LA. Why must the left always resort to violence while at the same time trying to disarm citizens in the name of protecting us? Protecting us like these folks were protected? No thanks, as I more than able to protect myself from thugs like these.

The French Quarter Fracas: A Loose End Or Two (Updated, 11:00 p.m)

http://thehayride.com/2010/04/the-brennans-beatdown-piecing-together-a-story/

When we were first starting to research who these Iron Rail Collective folks were, we were really trying to get some names more than anything else, and to hopefully figure out what the relationship was between the Iron Rail Gang and the protest that, as it turned out, produced not just the attack on Allee Bautsch and Joe Brown but also the attempted attack on Louisiana Republican Party Chairman Roger Villere as he tried to exit Brennan’s Restaurant out of the back door last Friday night.

So when we went to the “About” page on the Iron Rail website, we skimmed over the third paragraph, which reads:

Our lending library is one of the largest collectively-run radical libraries in the country. The Iron Rail was the first library in metro New Orleans to re-open after the disastrous failure of the government levees in 2005, and for several months were the only functioning library in the city. In 2009, we were invited to be the official bookseller for the Family Violence Prevention Fund’s 5th annual National Conference on Health and Domestic Violence. We were super-duper stoked about this opportunity and we did a great job, because we’re awesome.

The emphasis on the part you see in bold is ours.

So, what’s the Family Violence Prevention Fund? Well, it’s one of your standard-issue leftist non-governmental organizations. We say that because they say they advance a cause – the prevention of domestic violence – that nobody could possibly disagree with, and yet on their website one will find a grab-bag of hard-left advocacy.

Like what?

How about banning of guns, chatting up unions about making employers put domestic abuse prevention programs in collective bargaining contracts and granting asylum to women on the basis of domestic abuse in the home country.

FVPF is also covered in George Soros’ fingerprints. The organization’s President is Esta Soler, whose bio says:

Hi Spectre,

I was glad to read that the Congress got funded out of health care. It won't take long for them to fix their own mistakes, but takes forever to fix the bigger mistakes.

The New Orleans leftist group story was interesting. We all know that during LilBoyBush, the administration infiltrated liberal and leftist groups in order to spy on their goings-on. Such groups were very peaceful but were spied on nevertheless. No doubt, such activities by HLS continues. I wouldn't be surprised that people are planted to create civil unrest in order to cause these groups trouble.

It does appear that there are radical anarchist groups, be them neo-Nazis or leftists, that don't need much of a reason to create violence.

This continues on the right, as you know. I am sure you are just as upset about radical rightwingers that want to bomb or create violence against Democratic politicians, as well.

This is supposed to be a free country to allow peaceful protests and demonstrations for what they believe, be it to preserve gun rights, no nukes, or whatever.

Straight out of Caracas: White House tied to anti-Tea Party astroturf group?

Cass Sunstein, Barack Obama's 'Regulatory Czar', has a history of advocacy. Unfortunately, it's for the kind of Statism that would make Mussolini cringe. Sunstein, among other egregious activities, supports the establishment of government propaganda ministries.

Writing on January 15, 2010, Glenn Greenwald at Salon noted Barack Obama’s new head of the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs, Cass Sunstein, had championed creating fake websites and using outside 501(c)(3) interest groups to act as alleged independent champions of government policy and to “cognitively infiltrate” opposition websites, etc...

Sunstein advocates that the Government’s stealth infiltration should be accomplished by sending covert agents into “chat rooms, online social networks, or even real-space groups.” He also proposes that the Government make secret payments to so-called “independent” credible voices to bolster the Government’s messaging
That may explain websites like The Other 95, a thinly veiled propaganda site hawking the White House talking points. Some would call it astroturf.

Why this sort of site is needed, when we already have The New York Times, is a question for the Democrat National Committee. Or its contributors, who appear happy to throw money into a sinkhole.

RedState's Erick Erickson reports the website designer is affiliated with MoveOn.org and other Soros-controlled groups. You know, grassroots.

Let’s also remember that Center for American Progress, led by Obama’s transition team director John Podesta, has regular 8 a.m. phone calls to coordinate activity on the left.

It’s a play right out of Lenin’s handbook, forget Alinsky, to call the authentic “inauthentic” and then create something inauthentic demanding it be called “authentic.”
Indeed ™.

Clinton Once Again Redefining The Word "IS"
You have to love Dear Old Bill:

April 18 (Bloomberg) -- Former President Bill Clinton said he should have pushed for regulation of financial derivatives when he was president, rejecting the advice of top economic advisers Robert (I am Citibank) Rubin and Larry (I nearly bankrupted Harvard) Summers.

The argument was that derivatives didn’t need transparency because they were “expensive and sophisticated and only a handful of people would buy them,” Clinton said on ABC’s “This Week” program. “The flaw in this argument was that first of all, sometimes people with a lot of money make stupid decisions and make it without transparency.”

Clinton also said that Republicans who controlled Congress would have stopped him from trying to regulate derivatives. “I wish I had been caught trying,” Clinton said. “I mean, that was a mistake I made.”

Uh huh.

Mr. Bill. You do remember this little law PL 106-102, 113 Stat 1338, right?

Do you remember it's title and the date it was enacted?

Yes, you did sign it Mr. Clinton on November 12th, 1999, and in doing so you retroactively made legal an unlawful merger of two companies that your fabulous former Fed Chairman, Alan Greenspan, intentionally allowed to occur (and granted a waiver for which he had no lawful authority to give), remember?

The law in question is otherwise known as Gramm-Leach-Bliley.

Without it the disastrous derivatives mess could not have happened, because regulated banks with access to The Fed window, not to mention FDIC depositor protection, could not have engaged in derivative trades.

Let us also remember that your Treasury Secretary, Robert Rubin (who you claim gave you "wrong" advice) resigned as Treasury Secretary and brokered the deal to pass GLBA. While doing so he was allegedly in secret negotiations to become the head of Citigroup, the direct and proximate beneficiary of making their merger retroactively legal.

IF you want to try to repair your legacy on this account what you need to do is press for the repeal of Gramm-Leach-Bliley, making it your singular political focus until it is both achieved and every institution that operates in this nation in violation of Glass-Steagall (which would be effectively re-imposed) is broken up.

GLBA was nothing more or less than a license to loot this nation and Mr. Rubin was personally and deeply involved in its passage for both his own and Citi's corporate benefit. It was and is a shining monument to the colossal corruption and outrageous kleptocracy that became the mantra of The United States under your Presidency and has continued since to this day.

You are 100% responsible for this mess Mr. Clinton, and I, along with many others, have absolutely zero intention of ever letting anyone forget that.

Hi Spectre,

The issue that is so troubling in the piece about propaganda is that Obama ran on a platform of transparency. He wanted to make his administration transparent, yet by having Cass Sunstein designing systems that are fake, deceptive, and propagandist in nature, Obama is showing himself to be a hypocrite.

We went through this garbage with LilBoyBush and his propaganda machine, his plant in the NYT, his fake news guy in the press room, etc, We don't need every single president following in the same footsteps. Do presidents want to continue to force the public in their distrust of government forever?

And for Bill Clinton---there really isn't anything to say. If it were not for his actions at the end of his presidency in regards to the signing of those bills, we might not have seen such an economic disaster.
