good luck with this - not bad advice at this juncture even if only the few and the wise participate.

Jerry, GREAT VIDEO BRO!! Not a single soul in the reigns of power be they govt. or banking/investment thieves can give a rat's ass about the American Citizen, and we must make a stand in the only language they understand...money. We will witness tax revolts, wall street revolts and anything Washington revolts before this is done.

If anyone has money in a 401K or IRA, this is very bad news. These captive plans which are long only for the most part would require anyone with money sitting in a money market mutual fund to switch into bonds or the stock market (CASINO) so as not to get saddled with MBS pure unadulterated bullshit from the FED through their respective money market mutual fund retirement plans buying this garbage. They are slowly but surely putting the American Citizen in a box!

Fed eyes tie-up with mutual funds

By Krishna Guha in Washington and Michael Mackenzie in New York
Published: September 23 2009

The Federal Reserve is looking to team up with the money-market mutual fund industry as part of its strategy to ensure that its unconventional policies to stimulate the economy do not produce a bout of post-crisis inflation.

The central bank envisages eventually draining liquidity from the financial system by engaging in trades called “reverse repos” with the deep-pocketed money-market funds. In these, the Fed would pledge mortgage-backed securities and Treasuries acquired during the crisis as collateral for short-term loans from the funds.

Been in cash for months now.

Even better than this would be to stop spending any of your money at stores that are owned by giant corporations.

If you need a shovel, buy it from the mom and pop hardware store. Buy as much of your produce as you can from a local farmer's market.

There are lots of ways to starve the beast.

Jerry, so if you protest, you are now automatically an anarchist? Those protesting against the thieves version of capitalism would be the same folks who have been destroyed by our very corrupt financial system and it's lap dogs of CONgress! How slanted can the MSM be to what is actually happening?

By DANIEL LOVERING and MICHAEL RUBINKAM, Associated Press Writers

PITTSBURGH – Police threw canisters of pepper spray and smoke at marchers protesting the Group of 20 summit Thursday after anarchists responded to calls to disperse by rolling trash bins and throwing rocks.
The march turned chaotic at just about the same time that President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama arrived for a meeting with leaders of the world's major economies.
The clashes began after hundreds of protesters, many advocating against capitalism, tried to march from an outlying neighborhood toward the convention center where the summit is being held.
Police in riot gear stood guard near the protesters, who banged on drums and chanted "Ain't no power like the power of the people, 'cause the power of the people don't stop."

Hi Solbama,

I appreciate the luck dust sprinkled upon my Wall Street revolt suggestion. I will keep it safely in my luck dust pouch. Thanks!!

SPECTRE, Hello!

Thank you for the kinds words. Am I an anarchist? Likely no, although I watched those who claim to be just that kind of political theater artist embarrass the Pittsburgh Police department, PA State police department, Allegheny County police department, PA national guard and army.

The young people, who really amounted to no more than 50, out-flanked the police/military at every corner. As the Pittsburgh city residents, just out watching the riot-geared military/cops turn into a bunch of Keystone Cops with riot hardware, helmet masks, shields, sticks, tear gas, a truck mounted sonic sound machine, armor plated assault vehicles and more, most residents were sympathetic of the "kids" who were denied a protest march permit.

Now, had they been granted one, then the cops/military could have controlled the few hundred marchers as they walked down the street chanting and drumming. But no. The choice was to deny, therefore angering the core group of around 25-50 to run around knocking over dumpsters and breaking a few windows. The city was embarrassed as it appeared to be a major overkill of military/cop presence.

The real story here is the non-story. No one really came to protest the G-20. Very, very few came to show they gave a damn! Downtown was literally a ghost town except for the curious locals with cameras. Just one guy named Ed, who carried a sign was on the target. He was chanting: "Get out of globalization and bring the jobs back home".

The real story was that just one guy-and I MEAN JUST ONE GUY!!!!!- was protesting on Thursday morning, which addressed the real message to the global "Dicklomats".

Thanks for the link to the "reverse repos"! What a scam!! Since Bada Bing Bernanke cannot entice the average American to fall for a crooked Wall Street game, he wants to steal our cash deposited in money market accounts. SAY NO WAY TO CONGRESS!

Welcome P35flash. Thanks for the comment and how you have been ahead of the game. How right you are when making suggestions about supporting your local hometown businesses and food grower/suppliers. Thanks.

So we issued $7 Trillion in debt to cash flow $1.7 Trillion. SOS!!!!

U.S. issues $7 trillion debt, supply to stabilize
On Wednesday September 23, 2009, 12:45 pm EDT

NEW YORK (Reuters) - The U.S. government will have issued $7 trillion in bonds by the time the current fiscal year ends next week, but it expects the debt deluge to stabilize by mid 2010, a Treasury official said on Wednesday.

Though markets and the economy are improving, efforts to provide a firm foundation for recovery will require increases to the U.S. Treasury's conventional bonds going forward, as well as debt securities that are indexed to inflation.

However, this expansion may take place in an environment where investors consider leaving the safe-haven Treasury market for riskier assets, and debt issuance is likely to level off mid next year, said Treasury Acting Assistant Secretary for Financial Markets Karthik Ramanathan.

"In fiscal year 2009, which ends next week, Treasury will have issued $7 trillion in gross issuance -- that's in a 12-month period," Ramanathan told a financial markets conference in New York.

"This issuance was necessary to meet nearly $1.7 trillion in net marketable borrowing needs, nearly $1 trillion more than what we raised last year," he added.

Jerry, how about a nice shiny new Ford Focus from China? Thank God for the UAW. :(

SHANGHAI — Ford Motor Co. said Friday it plans to spend $490 million on building a third assembly plant in China, ramping up production to meet surging demand in this fast-growing market as the U.S. automaker expands in Asia.
The factory, to be built in the central Chinese city of Chongqing, will make the next-generation Focus compact car, which Ford plans to sell globally.

Hi there SPECTRE,

Thanks for all the links! The US issues more debt but where is the improvement in the economy? Oh, I know where it went. It went to all the brand spanking new outfits, and vehicles, and riot assault monster trucks, and equipment, such as the Sonic Sound Machine.

I have seen those videos and the playing out of a pre-Marshall Law scenario occurred here in Pittsburgh.

Today, Friday, the 3-4000 person March Against the Policies of the G-20 was peaceful. The military and para-military presences was over-the-top. All along the route into downtown had the show of force exceeding the number of protesters.

What were they afraid of? This was an action to use all the new toys and things to train some green horn cops from Tucson, Az, Ohio, Montgomery County Maryland, Border Patrol, and all the surrounding PA police forces on executing a Marshall Law edict.

thanks, jerry

SPECTRE of Deflation said...

Jerry, speaking of, and can you believe this bullshit? I'm thinking the poor sheeple believe "Marshall Law" (Martial Law) was something Marshall used under the Marshall Plan. The TPTB will say it will all be done to protect the citizens from...(fill in the blank) while in fact we will be surrendering our rights.

G20 protesters blasted by sonic cannon

US police spark outrage by using wartime acoustic weapon to disperse G20 protesters in Pittsburgh

Friday, 25 September 2009

Only a few hundreds protesters took to the streets of Pittsburgh to mark the opening day of the G20 summit of world leaders, but the police were taking no chances.

Sonic weapons or long-range acoustic devices have been used by the US military overseas, notably against Somali pirates and Iraqi insurgents.

But US security forces turned the piercing sound on their own citizens yesterday to widespread outrage. Pittsburgh officials told the New York Times that it was the first time "sound cannon" had been used publicly.

The sonic weapon appear to be more effective than the Metropolitan police's highly contentious kettling tactics used against G20 protesters in London. But it is equally controversial.

It is feared the sounds emitted are loud enough to damage eardrums and even cause fatal aneurysms.

SPECTRE of Deflation said...

Hey Jerry, your city holds the distinction of being the first American City where a sonic weapon was actually used on American Citizens instead of pirates and terrorists half way round the world. I also thought they were a nice touch at several Town Hall Meetings although they were not used (Damn It). Nothing like getting out mingling with and listening to your constituents while being covered by a sonic weapon.
